Our Expertise
Our team consists of highly skilled machinists who are experienced in using state of the art CNC lathes, CNC Swiss style turning centers and CNC milling centers.
In our changing world, our machinists have adapted and continue to learn the important skills needed to be successful. Advanced programming, GD&T, CAD/CAM technologies, proper tool selection, and collaboration within the support team is instrumental to our success.
Throughout the production process, our machinists have a support team that is also skilled in the areas of part washing, deburring, grinding, honing, part marking, and more. These integral processes ensure that we create a good quality part from start to finish.
CNC Swiss
For small, high precision turned parts, our CNC Swiss machines are extremely versatile and fast. Multi-axis machining means results in overall shorter cycle times. All of our Swiss machines have bar feeder capabilities and can do lights out production.
CNC Turning
Our CNC turning centers offer a full range of machining options using live tooling. Dual spindles and multiple turret lathes offer the opportunity for overlap machining which can cut cycle time in half, as compared to other lathes, which need to be hand loaded.
CNC Milling
Unlike traditional drilling, a milling cutter can move along multiple axis to create a wide array of shapes, slots, holes and other impressions. Our CNC mills are run with CAD/Cam technology, which gives us the edge in precision.

La Machine Shop, Inc. started out as a small automatic screw machine shop that was located in Cedar, Minnesota by Tom and Marie LaBonne. With hard work and dedication, they built our foundation from the ground up. They also fostered an environment based on a culture of trust, respect and caring for others. Since this time, our Company has been able to make significant investments in facilities, technology, equipment, training and business solutions to discover new opportunities to grow.
Much of the credit of our success has been our extraordinary employees. Their efforts and commitments to our goals go beyond what is expected. They are skilled, hardworking individuals that also feel like family.
